Welcome to Danube Knowledge Cluster site

Inspiration of the Danube knowledge cluster comes from historic, cultural, spiritual, natural and intellectual heritage of the Danube Region. We are aware of the significance of a partnership, outstanding relations between neighbours and mutual cooperation. We are determined to promote transformation to regions based on education and knowledge.

The Danube knowledge cluster has the ambition to support successful, systemic, transparent drawing of EU funds for 2007-2013 and, at the same time, to seek intersections of joint interests, partners and supporters for 2014-2020. Latter is the chief task of the Danube knowledge cluster. Not only does the Danube knowledge cluster continue in preparation and support of implementation of the national projects mentioned above, but thanks to its TRIPLE HELIX structure it is also qualified to become an active partner and a co-ordinator of the projects in the Danube Region for project areas which will be negotiated with the EU by the Slovak Republic. This is one of the ways for the Danube knowledge cluster to achieve its objectives.
